The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Program is a long-term visa scheme that allows foreign nationals to live in Malaysia for up to 20 years, with the possibility of renewal. This program is highly regarded by retirees, expatriates, and anyone looking for an affordable yet lively lifestyle in Southeast Asia. Participants of the MM2H program can enjoy Malaysia’s warm climate, rich culture, low living costs, tax-free income, and access to quality healthcare.
To be eligible, applicants must satisfy certain financial and health requirements, including providing evidence of income, available liquid assets, and a thorough health insurance plan. The MM2H program offers numerous benefits, such as long-term residency and opportunities to explore business or investment options in Malaysia. This makes the Malaysia My Second Home program an attractive choice for those seeking a second home in Malaysia.
As an MM2H participant, you can purchase a residential property in Malaysia, with minimum property values determined by the state. Please note, however, that renting out these properties is strictly prohibited.
Only income from local investments and business activities is subject to Malaysian income tax. Income from overseas is exempt from Malaysian tax and does not require reporting.
Dependents under 21 years old are allowed to study in Malaysia without needing a separate Student Visa, offering flexibility for family members.
MM2H participants can establish a private limited company in Malaysia without local partners. They are also permitted to invest in local businesses, the stock market, and unit trusts.
